Department of Environmental Science

With the changing global environmental conditions concerns the society to a common agenda of sustainable development. The environmental science program broadens the insight of the people in identifying principle-based solutions to the pinching and emerging issues of the society.

Environmental Science BS program was initiated in 2014 in the Faculty of Life Sciences & Informatics. Currently, the department offers MS Environmental Science program as well with highly qualified faculty having research specialization. To facilitate the research students, the Department of Environmental Science has state of the art research laboratory. The courses taught in the department are designed according to the national and international standards keeping in view market demands.

Graduates from the Department of Environmental Science can find potential opportunities and career in a national and international organization such as academia, local government, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA), Department of Planning and Development, Department of Health, Oil and Gas Development Authority as well as various Industries. Apart from local opportunities, the students can avail various international scholarships for higher studies in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary fields of Environmental Science.

Admission Requirement

  • Intermediate (Pre-medical/Pre-engineering or equivalent from any recognized board or equivalent with at least 45% marks.
  • Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in the relevant field securing at least 45% marks.

Degree Requirement

Admission Requirement

  • M.Sc. Environmental Science with 50% marks or (Biological Sciences) / BS in or Biological/Chemical/Environmental Science with CGPA ≥ 2, GAT ≥ 50
