On October 7, 2024, the students of the seventh semester from the Department of Education (FSSH) organized a Teacher's Day celebration, attended by faculty, including the chairperson of the Department of Education and faculty members of FSSH from different departments. The event featured speeches, a drama, and a panel discussion moderated by Haroon Rasheed, with panelists Mufti Ismail, Mr. Abid Ali, and Mr. Tariq Yousafzai, who explored the theme "The Transformative Role of Teachers in Shaping Society." They discussed the role of educators in shaping students, incorporating Islamic values, and addressing educational challenges. During closing remarks, Chairperson Department of Education, Dr. Khadija Jaffer, highlighted the contemporary role of teachers as lifelong learners, the need for digital literacy and AI skills, fostering civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and guiding students' moral development. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, celebrating the contributions of teachers in a joyful environment.
