Charting New Horizons: BUITEMS Orientation Session 2024

BUITEMS hosted its Orientation Session for new students across various faculties on November 11, 2024, at the Markhor Auditorium. The event, tailored to welcome and inspire the incoming cohort, included the participation of students from:

Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
Faculty of Information & Communication Technology
Faculty of Management Sciences
Faculty of Life Sciences & Informatics
Faculty of Basic Sciences
Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities

Each session was held at different times throughout the day, ensuring every department received personalized attention.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS, addressed the students with a motivational speech. He encouraged them to dedicate themselves to academic excellence and to strive for distinction in all walks of life. Dr. Khalid Hafeez also engaged students in interactive activities to make the session more memorable and impactful.

Students were given a comprehensive overview of the extensive facilities at BUITEMS, including the Digital Library, state-of-the-art laboratories, Sports Complex, Data Center, Smart Classrooms, Student Facilitation Centre, Office of University Advancement and Financial Assistance, and National Incubation Center. These facilities are designed to enrich their academic and extracurricular experiences. Moreover, students were introduced to the Campus Management Solutions (CMS), a centralized platform for managing student IDs, accessing results, and handling other essential academic functions.

The ceremony was further enriched by the presence of Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abdul Rehman Khan and Registrar Dr. Zahid Rauf, who also shared their insights. The Registrar led the students in taking an oath, signifying their commitment to uphold the values and principles of BUITEMS.

Deans, Directors, and faculty members were present to support the new students, creating a warm and welcoming environment for the next generation of scholars.
