Department of Public Administration
The department aims to provide educational opportunities that will enable future public office bearers to become ethical, skillful, creative, and inspirational leaders. Furthermore, it provides an understanding and application of principles required for effective public management, develops understanding about how to formulate and implement public policy. This program is designed to help students to apply analytical and research skills to the study of public organizations and policy, demonstrate proficiency in communicating ideas and perspectives about policy matters. Additionally, it will contribute a solid background in administering public departments and upgrade their skills in public administration and public policy.
BS Public Administration is exclusively focused on preparing students to gain entry or advancement as an administrator, manager, or leader in a government or nonprofit organization. Students will acquire the skills needed to help organizations fulfil their missions. These skills include organizational leadership, fiscal administration, political advocacy, and program management.
After having completed the BS degree program, we expect the students to contribute to various fields of Public Administration. It will help students to lead and manage public governance and public administration. It will facilitate them in contributing to the policymaking process. It will also serve as an excellent preparatory degree for the students wishing to pursue a master degree program in future.
Admission Requirement
- F.A. /F.Sc. / Grade 12 equivalent in Science or Arts will be required
- Entry test will be conducted, minimum 50% cumulative score will be required.
