World Environment Day at BUITEMS

BUITEMS marked World Environment Day on June 10, 2024, with a strong focus on environmental preservation and sustainability. The event, organized by the Environmental Science Department in collaboration with the Environment and Climate Change Department, Government of Balochistan was held under the theme "Restoring Ecosystems and Preventing Biodiversity Loss."

The Honorable Chancellor of BUITEMS and Governor of Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, graced the occasion as the chief guest, alongside several dignitaries and esteemed guests.

The event featured a range of activities, including seminars, tree plantation drives, and awareness campaigns aimed at educating students and staff about the importance of reducing environmental degradation. Dr. Abdul Rehman Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor of BUITEMS, emphasized the need to adopt sustainable practices in everyday life. In his address, he encouraged the university community to take an active role in preserving nature for future generations.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to prioritize environmental protection both within the university and the broader community, reaffirming BUITEMS' commitment to sustainability.
