The Department of Education (FSSH) recently organized an event related to ‘’Turning civic knowledge into community actions: A visit to BUITMS colony school, as part of civic education course activity.
The students of the 5th semester arranged this event under the guidance of Ms. Sadia Ghaffar. The purpose of the activity was to donate sports equipment and plants by the Department of Education, including the purchase of essential items like carpets for two rooms, dustbins, etc. This activity was led by Dr. Khadija Jaffer, Chairperson Department of Education (FSSH), and the esteemed chief guest was Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Dr. Abdul Wadood.
The planning and organizing of a sports and civic engagement event at BUITEMS colony school aligned closely with departmental goals, emphasizing civic engagement, community support, and social responsibility. This initiative not only highlighted the importance of unity and teamwork in achieving shared goals but also promote civic values such as community collaboration, social responsibility, resource sharing, and donation. Through this event, participants gained invaluable experience in leadership and communication, strengthening their ability to coordinate and execute impactful projects. This experience serves to inspire an ongoing commitment to positive societal contributions and developing inclusive support.
