Senator Javed Jabbar visited BUITEMS on March 9, 2022, to screen a documentary film made to present a counter-narrative of the Fall of Dhakka. The documentary comprises informative observations by an array of distinguished individuals. They include eminent scholars and researchers, former ministers, ambassadors, policymakers, journalists, and eye-witnesses from the United States, United Kingdom, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Their thought-provoking reflections enable viewers to survey 1971 with unprecedented clarity and accuracy.
The event was attended by the faculty members and students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Respected Vice-Chancellor, Mr Ahmed Farooq Bazai (SI) and honourable Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Abdul Rehman Khan also watched the documentary along with the BUITEMS family. Earlier Senator Javed Jabbar met the worthy Vice Chancellor in VC Secretariat.
The screening event was followed by a question and answer session. The students actively participated in the Q&A session and asked very intriguing questions regarding Two Nation Theory, Institutional failure, separatism. In the end, the worthy Vice Chancellor presented the respected guest with a souvenir.
