BUTIEMS Department of Training & Development organized a one day “Continuing Professional Development (CPD)” training workshop on “Outcome-Based Education”. The training was organized in collaboration with The Institution of Engineers, Pakistan (IEP) and Buitems Faculty of Engineering. The Institution of Engineers, Pakistan provided sponsorship for the workshop. The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are training programs designed for registered engineers so that engineers can continue their professional development throughout their career. Resource person for the workshop was Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Rehan Abbasi. The training was focused on critical issues, challenges, and strategies for implementing OBE. It highlighted the significance of clear learning outcomes, discussed the Washington Accord's relevance to accreditation, and outlined solutions to improve faculty training, curriculum delivery, and student engagement. The session aimed to enhance understanding of OBE for better educational outcomes and compliance with international standards. Professor Dr. Syed Kamran Sami Director Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) and Secretary IEP Quetta provided full support in organizing this training. Engineers from Buitems Faculty of Engineering and Directorate of Planning & Development attended the workshop.
