NIC Quetta hosted UNHCR’s Deputy Country Representative Ms. Tammi Sharpe at the facility. She was provided a guided tour of the facility by the Director of National Incubation Center Quetta Mr. Muhammad Shah Khan. She met participants of the ideation bootcamp for Meri Shinikaht, Mera Karobar Microenterprise program, and admired the center’s efforts to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Balochistan, and the country as a whole.
The Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rehman Khan, highlighted that BUITEMS is contributing to the education sector but also uplifting the socio-economic growth of the country, & BUITEMS is the global hub for SDG-8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), marking support the SDG's agenda of 2030. BUITEMS has incorporated entrepreneurship in its curricula for all major degree programs and encouraged its students and alumni to plan their startups. The Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rehman Khan, presented an honoring shield to Ms. Tammi Sharpe.
