China Study Center at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) organized the first “Chinese Art, and Design Exhibition (Cade 2022)” in collaboration with the Fine Arts, Textile, and Architecture departments of BUITEMS on 24 November 2022 in the art gallery of Sir Syed Block Takatu Campus. The Fine Arts department of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University also participated in the event. The exhibition was inaugurated by Brig Agha Ahmad Gul (R), CEO/Consultant Balochistan Think Tank Network (BTTN) and the worthy Voice Chancellor BUITEMS, Eng. Ahmed Farooq Bazai (S.I) (H.I).
Focusing on dragon fest, Chinese Opera, Architecture Design, and Silk Costumes, CADE 2022 not only served the purpose of promoting Chinese Art and Culture but also provided a platform for the participating students to showcase their talent in making paintings, sculptures, designs, and traditional Chinese costumes. The exhibition was visited by students, staff, faculty members, and other dignitaries from all walks of life including Mr. Humayun Mehmood, Vice President of Metallurgical Corporation of China, and Mr. Ahsan, the Federal Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives. The federal minister appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated BUITEMS and China Study Center for organizing such a mesmerizing event.
