As part of the pre-event preparations for the upcoming BUITEMS 7th Job Fair 2024, the BUITEMS Career Services, Directorate of UAFA organized a comprehensive CV Writing and Interview Skills Session on 21st November 2024 at Pink Seminar Hall, BUITEMS. The session aimed to equip graduating students with essential career preparation skills to maximize their opportunities at the job fair scheduled for 27th November 2024.The session was conducted by:
• Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Achakzai, Assistant Professor/Director, UAFA
• Syed Shah Mohammad, Deputy Director, University Advancement, UAFA
Objective of Session
1. Guide students on crafting professional and impactful CVs tailored to industry standards.
2. Provide insights into effective interview techniques, including body language, communication skills, and responding to challenging questions.
3. Build students’ confidence in presenting their skills and experiences to potential employers during the job fair.
Key Highlights
o Importance of a concise and well-structured CV.
o Common mistakes to avoid, such as irrelevant details or grammatical errors.
o Techniques for tailoring CVs to specific job descriptions and industries.
o Guidance on formatting and organizing key sections (e.g., objectives, education, experience, skills).

The session was attended by large no of students, primarily graduating batches from various faculties. Participants expressed their appreciation for the practical tips and interactive format of the session. Many found the guidance on tailoring CVs and handling interviews particularly valuable in boosting their readiness for the job fair.
