BUITEMS Hosts Agentic AI Hackathon 2026 to Foster Innovation and AI Excellence

The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), in collaboration with atomcamp, the IEEE BUITEMS Student Branch, and the IEEE Quetta Subsection, successfully organized the Agentic AI Hackathon 2026 at BUITEMS, bringing together students, innovators, and technology enthusiasts from across Balochistan to showcase cutting-edge solutions in Artificial Intelligence.
The hackathon attracted the participation of more than 150 students representing over 20 universities and educational institutions from across the province, reflecting the growing interest in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies among the youth of Balochistan.
The event provided participants with a unique platform to explore the rapidly evolving field of Agentic AI, where intelligent autonomous agents collaborate to solve real-world problems. Working in teams of three, participants were challenged to design, develop, and present innovative multi-agent AI applications within a limited timeframe.
The projects demonstrated remarkable creativity and technical excellence, addressing practical challenges through AI-driven solutions, including automated recruitment systems, disaster response mechanisms, healthcare applications, and public safety technologies.
The submitted projects were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges comprising Mr. Jahangir Badar, Dr. Muhammad Aadil Siddiqui, Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Ali, Dr. Mehmood Baryalai, Dr. Raza Ali, and Dr. Saeed Ahmed Magsi, who assessed the teams on innovation, technical complexity, real-world applicability, and presentation quality.
Following a rigorous evaluation process, the winning teams were announced:
🥇 First Position: Job Posting vs. Candidate Profile – FG College (Dawood Khan & Muhammad Masood)
🥈 Second Position: Disaster Response Agent – Virtual University (Muzamil Khan & Asfandyar)
🥉 Third Position: Pulse Care – BUITEMS (Atqarana, Eshban & Uqba Sajjad)
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the winning teams were recognized for their outstanding achievements and innovative contributions to AI-based problem-solving.
The Agentic AI Hackathon 2026 marked another significant milestone in BUITEMS' commitment to promoting innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies. Through strong collaboration between academia, industry, and professional organizations, the event successfully encouraged AI literacy, hands-on learning, and technological creativity among students while strengthening Balochistan's growing ecosystem of innovation and digital transformation.
