The Kaar-e-Kamal Welfare Foundation (Quetta Chapter), in collaboration with Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), and Balochistan Bright Future Organization organized a plantation drive on 8th May, 2025 as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. This initiative aimed to promote a greener Pakistan by encouraging tree plantation and raising awareness about ecological responsibility among students and the wider community.
The drive was conducted within the BUITEMS premises, where plant saplings were carefully placed into the soil under expert supervision to ensure proper handling and root protection. The drive was graced by the presence of distinguished representatives from BUITEMS, including Dr. Naila Malik and Mr. Suleiman Kasi, whose participation underscored the university’s support for environmental initiatives. In addition, members of the Kaar-e-Kamal Welfare Foundation, students and faculty from Pak-Turk Maarif International School (Girls Campus), and the dedicated BUITEMS gardening staff contributed to the success of the event.
This initiative went beyond a routine plantation activity—it served as a platform to instill environmental consciousness, civic responsibility, and collective action among the youth. The event encouraged all participants to engage meaningfully in environmental preservation and become advocates for long-term sustainability.
As a further contribution to the cause, the Kaar e Kamal Quetta Chapter also donated irrigation pipe to support the long-term care and maintenance of the planted saplings. This thoughtful addition will help ensure the survival and healthy growth of the plants, reinforcing the commitment to sustainable impact.
The plantation drive concluded with a reaffirmation of shared responsibility toward environmental stewardship. The organizers extended heartfelt gratitude to all contributors and supporters. Through this collective effort, not only were trees planted, but the seeds of environmental awareness and hope for a greener, more sustainable future were also sown.
